OK...so since this is my first blog EVER...let me begin by explaining a little about myself....
Born and raised Jersey girl, I, Devon Marie, found my love for the performing arts at a young age while taking part in my elementary school's musical theater department. From then on I was casted in multiple regional theater productions in New Jersey and New York.
Over the years, as my passion grew, I won the title of Philadelphia Idol and was a finalist at 95.5 PLJ's New York Idol Contest. While continuously writing my original pop/rock music, I also undergo private acting classes from a well-known celebrity coach. Having a lot of experience with challenging roles in many independent films, I most recently finished filming a guest starring role for a suspenseful pilot that will be seen on Fangoria Television. This was a lot of fun! Best cast and crew I ever worked with!

Currently I work at the new Hot spot in Times Square called Spotlight Live! I am one of the professional background singers/dancers. Guests at the restaurant can get their 15 minutes of fame and sign up to sing a song on our fabulous stage! My cast and I do our own little solos and dance routines to entertain the patrons as well. It is definitely a wonderful time! You should come on down! Oh...and I forgot to mention that everyones performance is broadcasted live on the Internet and on our jumbotron OUTSIDE in TIMES SQUARE! Woo-Hoo!!!!! The above picture was at Spotlight Live for a special Christmas performance held just one week ago!
I have many goals for 2008 and I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with the performing arts! Truly a Happy New Year to everyone!!!!!!
